How Do I Get Rid Of Acne and How Do I Get Rid Of Old Acne Scars?

You may not realize it but Acne is big business these days. Just look at Proactiv and all the celebrities they have engaged to push the product.  In fact, when it comes to Proactiv, it offers nothing different to all the other standard Acne treatments. They just market themselves better and more extensively. Like many other over-the counter Acne products, Proactiv’s active ingredient is Benzoyl Peroxide, a chemical-based bactericidal used in bleaching and many other industrial applications. It is no wonder it often produces negative side effects and very mixed results.

For anyone with bad Acne, they will try just about anything. You can’t blame them as Acne can be very painful and even mild to moderate breakouts can seriously affect the person’s self esteem.

While you can buy antibacterial agents, oral antibiotics and chemical-based topical products from your local pharmacy or chemist, these Acne products seldom completely cure Acne. In fact, some medications can, in some cases, worsen the condition.

Most doctors will tell you there is no cure for Acne as such. Some sections of the medical profession go so far as to say that there is no such thing as an Acne cure. Their view seems to be that the best that can be achieved is the “control of Acne” and in some instances, Acne prevention. Others will tell you that you can cure Acne simply by cutting down or cutting out processed foods, fatty foods (such as potato chips and french fries), sugar and dairy products. They’ll tell you to make some changes in your lifestyle, particularly your diet. Recommendations range from cutting out the consumption of softdrinks and soda completely (irrespective of whether they are sugared or so-called diet sodas), choosing steamed vegetables over stir-fried, using honey instead of refined sugar, eating more fruits and/or nuts and drinking lots of water. Personal cleanliness is also recommended to reduce the spread (as distinct from the cause) of Acne. Of course, most Acne sufferers don’t lack personal hygiene in the first place!

Mostly, Acne is hormonal – this is why teenagers get it predominantly.

Putting more chemicals on your skin (which are then absorbed into your bloodstream) is NOT a solution to Acne, even if chemical-based products such as Proactive or Clearasil did work.

If you have normal-to-oily skin and acne, the absolutely best and most effective treatment is an all natural product produced by Volcanic Earth called Honey & Pumice Exfoliant. It is Acne’s enemy as it is deadly effective on Acne because of the extraordinary drawing power and exfoliating qualities of the volcanic pumice

Part of the treatment includes applying a high quality, chemical-free Facial Toner. A good toner is essential to restore the PH balance (as the pumice sucks everything out!).

When it comes to treating old Acne scars, I suggest you use straight Tamanu Oil. Anyone familiar with Tamanu Oil will know just how fabulous it is for acne, acne scars, skin blemishes, anti-aging and a host of other skin problems. Many of you would never have heard of this magical oil. To understand why and to learn more about it, I recommend that you visit:

So, if you “think” you’ve tried everything to cure Acne or to get rid of old Acne scars, think again…

Welcome to “News From The Crater’s Edge“, brought to you by Volcanic Earth. This is our first post but you are welcome to read previous newsletters by Clicking Here.

We are located in Port Vila, Vanuatu – also known as The Islands Of Fire! This is due to the level of active volcanoes here, including one of the world’s most accessible, Mount Yasur on the island of Tanna (featured in the heading to this blog). As manufacturers of naturally organic skin care products, we have managed to harness the normally destructive power of volcanic ash to produce an all natural range of volcanic organic skin care products.

I will be talking about skin care, tropical remedies, Vanuatu customs, soap making and loads more!

Tropical regards to you all,

Barry Roche
